Each year the HSOG offers a multitude of exhibitions, events, tours, and educational programs to residents and visitors, peaking in the summer months. We offer a permanent exhibition, History of Ocean Grove, and three special exhibitions every year, each on an interesting aspect of Ocean Grove culture or history. Our Exhibitions, Events, and Education sections describe them all! Our Museum is filled with an extensive collection of artifacts from Ocean Grove’s history, and we’ve highlighted a number of important pieces in the Collection section. Don’t forget to save some time for our Museum Store when you visit.

This 7.5-acre National Historic Landmark site preserves the restored estate of Stephen Vail, proprietor of the Speedwell Iron Works from the early to mid-1800's. HHM presents changing exhibits focusing on the history of Hoboken New Jersey. Recent exhibits include: 50th anniversary exhibit on the film "On the Waterfront: Starring Hoboken New Jersey"; "Hoboken Tunes: Our Musical Heritage"; "100 Hoboken Firsts"; "Heaven, Hell, or Hoboken: A World Transformed by World War I"; "Up and Down the River: A History of the Hudson, 1609 - 2009". In addition the Museum exhibits art work by local artists in it's Upper Gallery. We also have an extensive education program for school children. In addition to our exhibits HHM features many events including house tours, garden tours, baby parades, pet parades, tomato-tasting festivals, film festivals, storytime, and lectures. The Museum has a gift shop that features t-shirts, postcards, maps, posters, and books.
