Description

Adventure and entertainment abound as children learn through interactive play - sit in an eagle's nest, explore a cave, tinker in the inventor's lab, and more. SOL based and great family fun.

History

The Children's Museum of Richmond served the community for over 18 years at the former Navy Hill location, which closed September 1999 in preparation for opening the new Museum. Throughout the years, CMoR has remained committed to excellence in its exhibits, programs and resources. This commitment and mission of excellence continues at Broad Street location, adjacent to the Science Museum of Virginia. In the future, a 30-acre central Virginia Learning Campus will be created to serve as a national model for collaboration and strategic use of available educational resources (in partnership with the neighboring SMVA).
