Description

Small museum in log building addition built on older log cabin public library filled with photos and artifacts of local culture from the Maidu to modern era. From early ranching and dairying operations through timber industry and tourism.

Advertising articles and equipment from early businesses
Artifacts from early ranching and post office operations
Research Collections

Hundreds of photographs of local communities and early families, Lake Almanor's creation, from 1860's through 1950's. Historical society publications, unpublished interviews, memoirs, and research articles,as well as video interviews and tours.

Educational Programs

Programs with oral history accompanied by slides available to school groups and organizations as per requests.
