Description

We have an archival area in which we preserve the original documents and utilize the information for local Genealogy and History Research, as well as providing computer research facilities.

History

Began in 1973, became re-organized under new leadership, formed up a Board of Directors, performed an in-depth archival inventory, established a new Charleroi Area Heritage & Tourism Community Fund and began investing in associated projects.

Artifacts Collections

Mostly pictures, documents, books, and copies of information pertaining to local and regional information. Some significant items have been collected as well.
We are still welcoming contributions to the archives for future reference and use.

Programs

We are in process of archival collection inventory to provide for copies to be made for various, specialized exhibits which we refer to as "Mini-Museums" that are being formed up throughout the the historic district area of Charleroi. We view that representative "era" area as a "Living Museum" in and of itself.
