The Jack Jouett House Historic Site in rural Woodford County, Kentucky seeks an Executive Director/Administrator. This site is the 18th century home of Revolutionary War hero Captain Jack Jouett and portrait painter Matthew Jouett. The campus includes five acres with two historic buildings, cemetery, modern office/visitors’ center, and private residence for the site manager. This county museum operates with the support of a private, 501(c)3 corporation.

The Director will manage one part-time assistant/site manager and an active volunteer program. The Director will provide leadership in adherence to mission and purpose, site administration and interpretation, fundraising, financial administration, marketing and programming. Salary: Mid-to-High $30s, Full Benefits.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent preferred in museum administration or related field.
  • Three to five years experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and technology skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with other museums and agencies.
