The Gulf Coast Museum of Art is seeking an experienced, creative, team-oriented and highly motivated individual to fill a new position of Educational Classes Coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for the execution and development of studio classes for adults and children, instructor/student relations and daily operations of the studio classrooms.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop class offerings to include adult and children’s classes and summer camps for children.
  • Develop course descriptions, design class brochure copy, coordinate publishing and maintain website content and on-line registration.
  • Responsible for registration and enrollment, returns and transfers, cancellations, promotion of classes, purchase of materials, and room maintenance.
  • Prepare and provide teacher contracts, scheduling and appropriate payment information.
  • Maintain any subcontractor partnerships for the classrooms on behalf of the Museum.
  • Prepare budget and oversee maintenance of statistics, data entry and retrieval for the program.
Qualifications
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Access, Adobe Photoshop, Scanning devices)
  • Knowledge of Florida artists, local instructors and Southeastern craft
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Good management, teamwork and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • A minimum of three (3) years of education management experience
  • A minimum of a four-year degree in art history or fine arts
