West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc. is seeking a Curator and Exhibit Coordinator for the T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum. This person will maintain the Museum's exhibit schedule, facilitate changing exhibits for the Wentworth and other permanent collections, arrange for and facilitate traveling exhibits as needed and work with the registrar to arrange in-coming loans and new donations for exhibit purposes. He/she will assist in the acquisition, research, restoration, conservation, cataloging, interpretation and exhibit documents and artifacts in the permanent collections, particularly as it relates to the changing exhibit program, and perform and/or aid in the topic selection, research, artifact selection, text and label writing, exhibit design, installation and maintenance of all exhibits in WFHPI's changing exhibit program.

 

Minimum Qualifications - Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years experience in museum exhibit programs or collections management.

 

Salary: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00
