The Naples Museum of Art is offering two paid internship positions designed to provide practical experience in a museum setting. The internship program seeks current undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in museum education.

The interns will work under the supervision of the Museum Education Coordinator and interact with other museum staff. The internship stipend is $2,000 per semester and college credit is available when coordinated through your school.
Primary Responsibilities
Interns will assist with preparation and presentation of Museum's education programs which include: family programs, youth programs, school and teacher programs, outreach programs, and the docent program. Candidates should have a background in studio art, art history and/or education/museum education. Other qualifications include having excellent communication skills, and computer skills, along with the desire to learn in a non-traditional setting. Tasks interns will assist with include:
  • Creating family guides for permanent collections
  • Organizing study guides for exhibitions
  • Updating exhibition checklists and formatting labels
  • Completing research for the Docent program and compiling resource books
  • Preparing school activity supplies and other materials
  • Implementing hands-on activities for school groups and family days
