Primary Responsibilities
EXHIBITIONS:
Plan and organize exhibitions for 800 Lincoln Road Gallery space
Establish schedule for exhibition (dates of work to be in gallery space, mounting and dismounting, painting and cleaning of space and other needs required depending on the curatorial needs: podiums, extensions, lighting etc.)
In charge of all printed material related to exhibitions:
- Invitations
- Press releases
- Advertising
- Signage/posters
- Labels for artwork
- Price list
- Contact press to promote exhibitions
- Contact any advertising opportunities
Curate, plan and organize exhibitions in window fronts for 800 and 810 Lincoln Road
Plan 6 month to 1year schedule for 5 windows, each window including work by a different resident artist. Period of exhibition lasts 4 weeks
In charge of labeling each window with name of artist, location and contact information.
Curate, plan and organize exhibitions for Walgreen’s windows at 100 Lincoln Road and 74th St. and Collins Ave.
Plan 6 months to 1 year schedules for 5 windows (74th + Collins) and 3 windows (Lincoln Road and Collins), each with different artwork by different artists
In charge of labeling each work with name of artist, location and contact information.
In charge of exhibitions on 924 building vitrine (including labeling)
Produce budgets for each exhibition
Find new and innovative exhibitions for gallery space.
OTHER:
Keep schedule control of gallery reception desk staff
Guide/tour for groups interested in viewing the current exhibitions and studio visits
