The National Gallery of Art (NGA) seeks a seasoned fundraiser with a proven track record of cultivating, building and managing successful major gifts and planned giving programs, closing large gifts, and working successfully within the advancement operation of a large, complex institution. The Senior Development Officer for Major Gifts and Planned Giving will focus on raising gifts of $100,000+ from the private sector, particularly in the form of planned gifts from individuals which will produce a steady, predictable flow of private gift support for the Gallery.
Qualifications
The individual will have experience working on a national scale or with a national constituency base and will also have knowledge, experience or, at minimum, strong interest in the arts. A minimum of 5-7 years of senior, professional development experience, including significant experience within planned giving and raising gifts above $100,000. As well as a proven track record in developing and managing comprehensive fundraising programs that incorporate major gifts, individual giving, and planned giving.
