The Director of Retail Sales is a hands-on manager position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Tallahassee Museum’s store, admissions area, and café. Focuses on providing customers with a positive shopping and dining experience. Plans and coordinates retail operations, optimizes sales and profitability. Reviews financial transactions and monitors budget to ensure efficient and effective operation. Supervises staff, work schedules, cash handling operations and inventory.

Requires BA or three years experience and/or training in retail operations or similarly related field. Excellent leadership skills. Must be a team builder able to relate professionally to all staff, management, customers and vendors. Computer literate with a working knowledge of POS systems, MS Word and Excel. Must be able to work occasional holidays, weekdays, evenings and weekends.
