The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville is seeking an organized and energetic individual for the position of Assistant Director of Education. The Assistant Director of Education is part of a four-person department team and is responsible for implementing, supporting, and developing MOCA’s school programs (including student tours, teacher programs, school partnerships); studio programs (including adult art classes, summer day camps, family programs); and community programs (including partnerships and outreach).

MOCA Jacksonville is one of the Southeast’s largest contemporary art institutions located in Northeast Florida. MOCA is a six-floor, 64,000 square foot facility situated in the heart of downtown Jacksonville, adjacent to the newly constructed Main Library and City Hall. The Museum has a permanent collection gallery, three changing exhibition galleries, museum shop, upscale bistro café, 125 seat auditorium, education classrooms and family interactive center. MOCA exhibits and collects works of art created since 1960 and presents innovative and diverse exhibitions in a wide range of media by artists of national and international reputation.
Qualifications
Prospective candidates for the position should have a BA/BS or BFA in art education, museum education, education, or art, or MA/ M.Ed or MFA in art education, museum education, education, or art.
