The world’s first museum for children is searching for a Director of Visitor Services to oversee a major expansion of guest-oriented operations and retail earned income areas. The Director of Visitor Services will lead the hiring and training of a high performing staff of full time and part time personnel, manage contracts and monitor performance of food service vendors and caterers, oversee admissions, daily hosting, events, and retail gift shop operations and ensure that personnel and systems at the new BCM support excellence in service and visitor satisfaction.

Qualifications
The new Director will have seven years of direct guest service management experience and at least five years of senior management experience in a family-oriented museum or similar setting. A bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in hospitality services, business, museum studies or related field is required. Teambuilding, grant writing and program assessment experience, budgeting and project management skills are a must.
