The Tampa Bay History Center, opening a new facility in December 2008, seeks a Curator of Education who is responsible for the management of the education staff and volunteers. Principle responsibilities include the development and implementation of programs, events and activities that educate and involve community members and encourage participation in and contributions to the museum and its mission. The educational programs include school tours, Florida History Fair, teacher professional workshops, camps, exhibition tours and discovery activities, workshops, lectures, and outreach programs for diverse audiences.

A successful candidate should have a history of accomplishments demonstrating a commitment to current principles of history and museum education; a desire to be a team member; and knowledge of state social studies education standards. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential. Bi-lingual a plus.
