Amazement Square, The Rightmire Children’s Museum, is searching for an energetic museum professional for the Director of Exhibits and Education. This position will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and day-to-day management of the museum’s exhibits and educational programs and will manage a team of staff. The Director of Exhibits and Education will also play an important role on the leadership team for the museum’s upcoming capital campaign. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Exhibits and Education will be one of three senior staff responsible for the overall operation of the museum.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience in the museum field with a graduate degree in art, art history, the humanities, or education. The candidate should also have a collaborative leadership style, outstanding communication skills, and a strong track record in exhibit development and management. Background in exhibit development for hands-on cultural/historical and or science museums, including management of interpretive programs and a proven track record in the management of projects, budgets and staff is a key requirement.
