The Henry Ford-America’s Greatest History Attraction, has a part-time grant position as a Project Assistant. Position is responsible for providing project support on education and public program development and coordination related to the transportation and related projects.
Primary Responsibilities
•Conducts research, finding data and organizing information
•Develops program templates and creates databases
•Coordinates the work of all Transportation Education staff
•Maintains records, assists with follow-up, tracks timelines of education product deliverables
•Synthesizes existing and new information towards development of program models and prototypes such as new scout programs, preschool programs etc., on transportation and related fields
•Ensures transportation project and overall education strategic plan elements are integrated
•Assists education team with all phases of project management
•Facilitates accurate and timely verbal and written communication amongst internal and external project partners
•Filing, schedule coordination, and other administrative support duties as necessary
Qualifications
Requires college degree. Applicable work experience a plus, with some experience in museum setting or cultural organization desired. Must be proficient in computers especially Word, Excel, Power Point, internet, and email use. Must be able to do basic research and compile recommendations with analysis. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be organized, punctual, and detail oriented. This is a part-time grant funded position. Preferred schedule is 20 hours/week, Monday through Friday. Schedule days/times can be flexible but must be consistent.
