The Museum is seeking an experienced, energetic, full time Exhibit Technician to serve as a member of the Curatorial team. This position reports to the Chief Curator, and works closely with the Chief Curator and other members of the Curatorial team to: maintain permanent Museum displays, prepare and install changing exhibits, manage vendors while on site, implement the Museum’s collections care program, and supervise volunteers during seasonal decorating.

Experience with art handling, exhibit hanging and rigging methods, attention to detail, and knowledge of standard museum practices are necessary. Specialized knowledge of exhibition design and lighting, museum prop fabrication, and historic preservation practices are highly desirable. The position requires physical exertion, and the ability to climb stairs, climb a ladder, and lift objects up to 40lbs as necessary.
