Membership Coordinator The Wyland Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, is dedicated to protecting the world’s ocean, waterways, and marine life through educational programs, public arts projects, and community events. Ideal candidates for this position will be bright, energetic, creative, individuals that take initiative and possess a strong desire to make a difference.
Primary Responsibilities
Job Description includes • Maintaining membership records and managing our Raiser’s Edge database • Producing database queries and reports as requested • Assessing and monitoring current member needs • Developing, marketing and enhancing membership value • Creating and orchestrating membership campaigns • Targeting new areas for membership growth • Contacting members and prospective members in person, by phone, and email • Strengthening communication with members and increasing involvement in the foundation • Coordinating and working foundation booth at events • Coordinating and recruiting volunteers for events • Basic bookkeeping journal entries • Processing credit card payments and preparing bank deposits • Answering office phones and opening mail • Other office duties as needed
Qualifications
Skills/Requirements • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Raiser’s Edge or similar database experience • Experience creating membership materials and campaigns • Basic understanding of non-profit financial accounting • Experience in membership coordination and communication • Experience supporting and directing volunteers a plus • Event management experience a plus • Work or volunteer experience in the environmental, arts, or education community a plus • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Ability to work evenings and weekends with a flexible schedule • Ability to travel • Applicants must be flexible and willing to assist co-workers as needed with other foundation duties
Compensation
Annual range $29 to $32k DOE.
