The Museums and Cultural Affairs Department of the City of El Paso is seeking a candidate for the position of Archaeology Museum Curator. The ideal candidate, under direction, will develop interpret, display and promote exhibits. Will organize and preserve museum objects, artifacts, and associated records. This involves: Conduct research to identify, restore and exhibit objects and artifacts. Assure collections are properly handled, restored, and preserved. Initiate new museum programs studying origin, composition, history, and current value of objects.

Candidate must have a Master’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, museum studies, or American history, and one (1) year of museum exhibit development or design or curatorial experience.
