Waitsburg is the home of the Bruce Memorial Museum. Built by pioneers Wiliam Perry and Caroline Bruce in 1883, and now featured on the National Register of Historic Places, the house has been carefully restored by the Waitsburg Historical Society and is now operated as a museum. Waitsburg is unique for at least one other reason. Founded in 1865, the town government is the only one in Washington state still operating under the terms of its original territorial charter.

Wales Township was organized on March 27, 1841 and will be celebrating it's "175th Year Birthday" in 2016. We are largely an agricultural-residential community of approximately 3000 residents living in a thirty-six square mile township, located in the heart of St. Clair County, Michigan. St. Clair County is the easternmost county in the State of Michigan, at the base of the "thumb", where the foot of Lake Huron and the head of the St. Clair River join.

History
