Hammond-Harwood House is the Jewel of Annapolis, the grandest Colonial house in the town, preserved intact since 1774. It was the last project of the renowned Colonial architect William Buckland. In addition to its magnificent, perfectly preserved architecture inside and out, this National Historic Landmark contains an outstanding collection of John Shaw furniture and Charles Willson Peale paintings.

The John Hampden Society was formed in 1992 to honour the 17th centuryEnglish parliamentarian after whom the town of Hampden was named in 1794. In August 1994 eight members of the Society were guests at the Bicentennial Celebrations, and strong links have been forged between Hampden Historical Society and the John Hampden Society.

Hangar 25 Air Museum is a restored WWII airplane hangar that sits on its original site. The restoration project began in 1995 and was finished in 1999. Hangar 25 Air Museum opened its doors for the first time on May 11, 1999. It has been the goal of the staff and board of directors to preserve and promote Hangar 25 and the history that it holds. The exhibit area is filled with artifacts and aircrafts that tell the story of the building.
