The F. Brooke Whiting House & Museum is a 1911 bungalow of stucco plaster that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. George Sansbury, a notable Cumberland architect, designed the boyhood home of F. Brooke Whiting. The home is furnished with family antiques, eclectic collections, and a vast library.

Membership then as it is now was open to Alaska Natives and American Indians of one-quarter blood or greater who once a year elect a nine-person board of directors. The Fairbury City Museum has been located for many years on the west side of the square in downtown Fairbury. The museum opened in its new location, the former West Ward School, in the fall of 1998.
