We seek to preserve significant military and civil aircraft and aviation artifacts to educate the public about the people who flew, designed, built and maintained the planes. We are currently restoring a B-26 Martin Marauder, F-100 Super Saber, F-86D Saber, PT-19 Trainer, T-37 Tweety Bird Trainer and Goodyear GZ-22 Blimp Gondola. We are expanding a display dedicated to WWII's Rosie the Riveter. A basic aircraft restoration class is being offered.

Our most important assets are our experienced volunteers who are more than willing to share historical facts, technical data, flight information and little known truths about the past. World WarII vets are dying off at the rate of 1,500 per week so it's important that we let them tell their stories. The Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Society operates a two thousand square foot conservation laboratory that specializes in conserving underwater archaeological artifacts. This means all the artifacts that are either recovered from our archaeological expeditions or are donated are conserved on premises.

The Military Aviation Museum is home to one of the largest private collections of World War One and World War Two era military aircraft in the world. Each has been beautifully restored to its prior military condition, using original parts whenever possible. Most of the planes are airworthy and flown at the museum during flight demonstrations and at air shows throughout the year. .
