Nestled in the center of Iowa State University, the Farm House Museum sits as a monument to early Iowa State history and culture. As the first building on campus as well as a National Historic Landmark, the Farm House was built in 1860 before campus was occupied by students or classrooms. The prairie landscape was bleak and desolate at the time, and those first farm tenants primed the land for agricultural experimentation.

FEET FIRST: THE SCHOLL STORY, a one-of-a-kind exhibit dedicated to Dr. William Mathias Scholl and to the amazing structures that are our feet. This permanent exhibit is housed at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University.

Visitors see an award-winning film about the Southeastern Indians and the Hall of the Ancients depicts 12,000 years of Native American life through artifacts, dioramas, and interactive computer programs. The story of the Trail of Tears is shown in a 4-minute film and maps. Also on display is an extensive collection of contemporary Native American artwork, including paintings, baskets, sculpture and pottery.
