The W.A. Gayle Planetarium is the region's premier astronomy education facility, as well as a multimedia theater for films, lectures, live music and digital art performances. The Planetarium is operated by Troy University and embodies its motto: To educate the mind to think, the body to act, and the heart to feel. The new Planetarium system - the Super Mediaglobe II installed in February of 2014 - is the world's first full-color single-lens digital planetarium.

The permanent collection of the Weatherspoon Art Museum is considered to be one of the foremost of its kind in the Southeast. It represents all major art movements from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. Of the nearly 6,000 works in the collection are pieces by such prominent figures as Sol LeWitt, Robert Mangold, Cindy Sherman, Al Held, Alex Katz, Henry Tanner, Louise Nevelson, Mark di Suvero, Deborah Butterfield, and Robert Rauschenberg.

Its collections include nearly all aspects of military history and encompass the history of West Point and the United States Military Academy, the evolution of warfare, and the development of the American Armed Forces. While only a portion of the collection is on display, all artifacts are available for cadet academic instruction, special exhibition and research.

The Alumni’s museum, established in 1985, has preserved and maintained a large collection of B&O memorabilia and one-thousand pieces of Hazel Atlas Glass.
