Beaverhead County Museum is a one of kind museum. The museum complex includes the main museum, cabin, one-room schoolhouse, gazebo, the railroad depot and the depot theatre.

The history of our area is brought to life through the society's collecton of photographs, artifacts and exhibits. The society is working toward a major expansion to the main exhibit building, which houses the archives, offices, gift shop and the rotating exhibit gallery. Museum History: The Big Horn County Historical Society developed the Big Horn County Historical Museum in 1978 on a 22 acre farm. Over the past 31 years the museum has grown dramtically from one building to 24 significant historic structures that have have been moved to the property from various locations.
