For those of you unfamiliar with the Charles H. Chipman Cultural Center and the Chipman Foundation, we are located in Salisbury, Maryland on the Maryland Eastern Shore. The Chipman Cultural Center is an historic landmark, a former African American church dating to 1837 when five local freedmen purchased property and built a structure for use as a church, school and meeting place.

Poplar Hill Mansion is open for tours on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from 1 - 4 p.m. Come hear the stories of the families who lived here and learn about the history of the last 200 years. Admission is free on those Sundays and for the annual Yuletide Open House. Other tours (by appointment) are $3.00 per person.
