A collection of homestead houses, church, and school buildings assembled in a village setting. A self-guided walking tour let you wander through these homes and other buildings which are furnished with homesteader's belongings. Some days a blacksmith is on-site working at his forge. The village interpretive materials and books for sale tell the stories of homestead families in north Lake County, Oregon.

Officially created in 1935-36, as the Oregon State Museum of Anthropology and UO Museum of Natural History, the MNCH houses nearly 1 million ethnographic and archaeological objects and almost 100,000 fossils and biological specimens from Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and around the world.
