Description

Our mission is to collect and preserve the history of the Boyertown area, and to make it available for research, educational and the general enjoyment of those in our community.

Our meeting room is available to other groups for events or programs on an as needed basis.

History

The Boyertown Area Historical Society was organized in 1972 to preserve the unique history and culture of the Boyertown area. In 1974 we moved to our present location and established a small museum and a research library.

Artifacts Collections

We maintain collections of vintage clothing, local industrial and business artifacts, household items, school and church memorabilia, and military items.

Research Collections

Our research materials include local church and cemetery records, business records, photographs, local history, Pennsylvania German culture materials, tax and census records. .
