Description

Its like walking into an old 1920s barn. Displays are in the original horse stalls, named after the teams that occupied them. One of the stalls is the society office and the grainery/tack room is the utility room. Each stall has a theme, and displays will be changed periodically to feature culture of the local area.

History

The Seeley Lake Historical Society was established in 1998 with Articles of Incorporation filed May 18, 1999. 501(c)(3) nonprofit status was gained in 2003. The museum opened to the public in May 2004.

An extensive and important collection of Native American artifacts. 1000s of stone pieces.
