Built in 1898, the mess hall, blacksmith's shop, bunkhouse, barn, ice house and meat cache made up the original camp. The Toohey family has spent 35 years living and working at Crow Creek Mine with no electricity, telephone or running water, to preserve a significant part of Anchorage's historic past.
