History

Founded in 1970, the museum's focus is on local and area history

Artifacts Collections

General colleciton: 1880s - 1970s. Photographs, newspapers, city of Artesia archives, Native American, restored 1920s era kitchen, children's room with hats & clothes to try on, farm and ranch stuff, oil and mineral stuff.

Library

Approximately 200 book - local and area history and 10,000 plus photos and slides. By appointment only.

Facilities

The facility is approximately 3,400 square feet with 2,800 sq feet dedicated to exhibition area. The facility has a lecture hall with a capacity of 25. The facility is partially wheel-chair accessible
