The Southeast Volusia Historical Society was organized in 1982, as a not for profit organization, to promote a formal means by which individuals intereted in historical studies in the Southeast Volusia Area may congregate for their mutual benefit; to promote the continuing study of the cultures of the Southeast Volusia area from ancient time to present and to bring to the attention of the general public and approproiate govermental agencies the continuing importance of preserving historical sites within Southeast Volusia County.
