The Woodlands Science and Art Center (WoodSAC) is now completing its third year of operation. We don't have a building yet, however we have plans for one on the campus of the Houston Advanced Research Center in The Woodlands. When our building is complete, it will showcase Sustainability and serve as a field trip destination for students in Conroe and the surrounding school districts. It's theater/lecture hall will be used for evening and weekend performances of plays, chamber music, etc., both to maximize use of the building while serving the community in the arts, and to bring additional visitors to our exhibits and programs on the environment.

During the first 3 years of operation, WoodSAC has presented many programs, including a summer Science Camp in The Woodlands (in cooperation with the Houston Museum of Natural Sciece), a performing arts camp (in conjunction with Houston's Main Street Theater), a lecture series at Montgomery College, play productions brought in from Houston theaters, and activity booths at local festivals.

We currently have over 200 contributing members and are growing fast.
