Description

The 1st Cavalry Division Museum at the intersection of 56th and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue in Building 2218 on Fort Hood.

To get to the museum from Interstate 35, travel West on Expressway 190 towards Killeen. Once in Killeen, continue traveling on 190 exit Ft. Hood main gate. Before the gate stop by the Visitor Center on the right hand side so you can receive a pass to the Museum. Proof of insurance and ID Card are required for the visitor pass. The Visitor Center will provide a map to the Museum.

Outdoor Exhibits; The outdoor display at the museum features a wide selection of historical equipment. Whether it's an armored vehicle or aircraft, it has touched the division in a unique way and has added to the historical significance of the First Team.

All research request are conducted by volunteers. Research request are completed in the order they are received. Because the museum does not have a dedicated research request staff, the complexity of your request may prolong the completion of your request.
