Owned by the citizens of Denton County, the Historical Park is programmed by the Denton County Historical Commission as a hub for residents and visitors to grow and learn together. It is located on Mulberry Street just south of Denton's Historic Square, a short walk from the 1896 Courthouse-on-the-Square.

Groups are encouraged to schedule ahead of the requested date. The months of October, November and early December, March, April, and May are especially busy, so we encourage you to plan ahead so that we can schedule the requested time. For example, many schools now make their requests in September for much later in the school year.

Art
The Greater Denton Arts Council supports the arts in Denton in several ways. First, we provide a place for art and performance to happen. The Council operates the Center for the Visual Arts which houses two public art galleries, arts and crafts rooms, a dance studio, and a large multi-purpose hall.

The Denton County Historical Museum, Inc. closed in February 2009. The collection was moved to the Collin County Historical Museum, which has also closed.
