The Western Museums Association’s (WMA) Annual Meeting is known as a premier venue for those who work in the museum industry to exchange ideas and best practices, network with colleagues, and learn from each other by attending valuable sessions. With the theme of CONNECT, WMA 2023 will be an opportunity for attendees to participate in a unique slate of educational programming, CONNECT with colleagues, and explore ideas that will help define the future of museums and the diverse communities they serve. Six session tracks, exciting programs, and informal discussions will provide a fruitful environment for various perspectives to be shared and multifaceted learning opportunities for all cultural institution professionals, regardless of specialty

The annual SMA conference attracts more than 300 museum professionals, board members, and volunteers from a wide variety of small museums. They attend sessions on topics ranging from collections and education to staffing and board issues. We offer a large Museum Resource Hall and plenty of informal networking opportunities for you to talk with (and get ideas from!) other small museum professionals and volunteers

2024 California Association of Museums Conference Announced

CAM is planning for 2024! We are excited to share that CAM's 2024 Annual Conference will take place in Long Beach, California from March 10-14, 2024. Stay tuned for more developments in the coming months! Monitor this space for announcements about the Call for Proposals, Advertising & Sponsorship opportunities, Scholarships, Volunteering, and more.

Conference registration will be announced at a later date. CAM will have an online Early Bird pricing registration period, an online Regular Rate pricing registration period, and an onsite Regular Rate registration period

The California Association of Museums is excited to continue offering in-person programming for 2024. We will not be requiring proof of COVID vaccination/s, but highly encourage vaccination and boosters. For the health and safety of our colleagues, masks are also encouraged (but not required). Capacity and spaces will be thoughtfully considered in the planning of this event, and we encourage you to explore the local Long Beach outdoor areas, harbor breezes, and nearby spaces and sights for your lunches and breaks when possible.
