Monthly exhibits are primarily of art and fine crafts by regional artists - southeastern Washington and north central Idaho. A wide variety of mediums are represented.Our gift shop sells art and fine crafts from more than 100 regional artists. Our resident artists also sell directly from their working studios and also through the Shop.
Museum offers a unique hands-on experience, featuring many artifacts and displays from the mid-1800's to the mid-1900's, including several outbuildings of square nail construction.

Our 2024 WVAM Conference will be held at Shepherd Universit
in Shepherdstown, WV on June 6-8, 2024
WVAM conference is a program of papers, presentations, workshops, and poster sessions addressing our theme of “America at 250: West Virginia Plans for the Semiquincentennial.”
We’ll kick off the event with a virtual day on Wednesday, July 24, hosted in collaboration with the Association of Midwest Museums (AMM). Then, we’ll gather in-person at the Hilton Columbus at Easton from July 31-August 3 for sessions, networking, and museum exploration. The SCFM Annual Conference is a time where we can celebrate the impact that museums have made on the state of South Carolina. It’s a time where we can share our successes, learn from our challenges, and grow as museum professionals.
We look forward to this year's conference September 16-18, 2024 in Laurens, SC. This year's theme is Fostering Community: There is No Museum Without "Us."
