The museum occupies the house called Morven, the former New Jersey Governor’s Mansion and 18th century home of Richard Stockton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Its restoration and conversion to a museum were completed in 2004.

The Museum of American Glass, celebrating the creativity and craftsmanship of American glass, is at the core of WheatonArts. One of only 8 museums in the state of New Jersey to be accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, it offers over 18,000 square feet of exhibition space, a collection over 20,000 pieces strong, as well as a research library and archives.

Maywood Station Museum

The historic landmark station houses an ecclectic collection of railroad and local history items. The collection offeres a virtual timeline into the impact the station and railroad had on the development of the local area. The membership meets regularly to archive and update the collection. New exhibits and displays are always in motion to enhance the visitor's museum experience. The museum also has a restored caboose, which membership has restored and additional displays and an operating model train layout are maintained. An upcoming project will involve the restoration of a vintage diesel locomotive, which will complement the museums collection.

The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts is a multifaceted not-for-profit organization committed to promoting the preservation, interpretation, and cultural enrichment of the Cape May region for its residents and visitors, by:

1. Fostering a greater understanding and appreciation for the Victorian lifestyle and for the architecture, decorative arts, history and livelihoods of the Cape May region.

2. Preserving and restoring the Emlen Physick Estate, the Cape May Lighthouse and other landmark structures in the Cape May region.

3. Encouraging the performing arts in the Cape May region through presenting performances, conducting educational outreach and providing support services to other arts and cultural organizations.

The Montclair Art Museum, which first opened its doors in 1914, is the only art museum in New Jersey specializing in the collection and exhibition of American art. The Museum's founders, principally William T. Evans and Florence Rand Lang, donated works from their collections of American paintings and Native American art, respectively, to form the basis of a collection that now includes Hudson River School paintings, 19th-century portraits, American Impressionism, Modernism, and 20th-century works in a variety of media, including significant collections of sculpture, photography, and works on paper. Every major culture group in the country is represented in the Museum's renowned collection of Native American art.

Housed in a 1900 Richardsonian-Romanesque Revival building listed on the National Register of Historic places, the Museum explores 18th- and 19th-century American history, with a focus on New Jersey. Drawing on its collection of over 8,000 hand tools and their products, METC uses material culture to interpret the lives and technologies of people who lived and worked before the rise of large-scale industrialization in this country. The Museum offers visitors of all ages a broad range of changing exhibits, and related programs that address many facets of early American history, craftsmanship, and the diversity of trades performed by men and women.
