Thanks again to all of you who came out for the last (and, hopefully final) Scotch broom pull here on the Preserve in March. It is wonderful to see the shoreline area free of broom...and we encourage you all to check out the hearty patch of Oregon fawn lily (Erythronium oregonum) that is now visible down by the shoreline. Last we checked it was just sending up flowering stalks. Folks on Waldron tend to call it "Easter lily" because it usually blooms around Easter, and that may hold true for this year too. We want to send out a special thanks to Cy Field (& family) for putting in the extra time to remove this pesky invasive!!

We have gathered historical information pertaining to the northern part of Snohomish County and the Stillaguamish Valley, and its native populations and early settlers. Also related references from other cities, states and countries. This information available to members and visitors during regular library hours.
