Florida CraftArt is a member-supported, statewide nonprofit organization headquartered in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg’s art and culture district. Fine craft art by Florida artists is presented in the 2,500-square-foot retail gallery and the adjacent Exhibition Gallery features curated exhibitions and educational programming. Florida CraftArt is open seven days a week, (Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Sunday, noon-5 p.m.) Admission is free of charge. Visit www.FloridaCraftArt.org. On the second floor of Florida CraftArt’s 100-year-old building is ArtLofts, 20 artists’ studios and a meeting room called the Creative Loft where workshops, lectures, and meetings are held.

When Eckerd College began planning the 33,000-square-foot Nielsen Center for Visual Arts, a vast amount of thought went into the structure’s location, aesthetic, uses and features. Visitors are inspired by ongoing arts projects seamlessly blended into the campus’s natural beauty courtesy of large glass walls overlooking Fox Pond, and unique outdoor features, including a ceramics and sculpture yard.

From a legendary permanent collection, to compelling traveling exhibitions, the MFA is ready to inspire with diverse and ever-changing opportunities to experience art. Discover 4,500 years of civilization in thousands of objects ranging from antiquity to the present – the only comprehensive art collection of its kind on Florida’s west coast. Works by Monet, Cézanne, Morisot, Renoir, Whistler, O’Keeffe, De Kooning, Rauschenberg, Pearlstein, and others are part of the Museum’s collection. Some of the highlights include a sculpture garden, a diverse ceramics gallery showcasing both ancient and contemporary ceramics, and one of the most expansive photography collections in the Southeast.
