The Dallas Holocaust Museum, Center for Education and Tolerance, is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching the lessons of the Holocaust and memorializing its victims. It provides guided tours for groups, public lectures and exhibits, and other programming. The Museum has a collection of audiovisual materials including videotapes, slides, and microfiche.

The museum is housed in an old brick schoolhouse that has a charm and history itself. The displays are artfully created to reflect a phase of the Pioneer's life, showing a kitchen, parlor, office, chapel, general store, schoolroom, miniatre hand-carved circus, and temporary displays of period fashions, quilts etc. changed once or twice a year. The outside area contains a jail cell, half dugout, Santa Fe caboose, farm implements and a wagon barn containig various wagons.

The months of October, November and early December, March, April, and May are especially busy, so we encourage you to plan ahead so that we can schedule the requested time. For example, many schools now make their requests in September for much later in the school year.

The Depot Museum interpretates Rusk County heritage and culture. The museum has eleven structure on four acres of land the the tell story of pioneers, treasure hunters and wild catters. The history dates from primative Caddo indians to 1947 formation of the Henderson Brick Plant. New this year will be opening of a restored cotton gin. The museum tells the economic history of the county with its cotton gin, sawmill and oil derrick.
