Culture, History, Historic House, Historical Society
This home is very unique in Oklahoma history. It belonged to the captain of the light horse that was the only law enforcement in the Choctaw Nation during Indian Territory times. The home was built in 1894 and the home was turned over to the historical society in 1967. The Society has restored the home and furnishings of the late 1800s.
The "Friends of Peter Conser Historic Site Society has taken on the project to restore the barn during 2006.
