The Box Elder Museum is a new natural history museum in Brigham City, Utah. It opened in the King Building in 2009, and moved to a larger space in the Hervin Bunderson Center in 2010. Current displays incude a variety of fossils and minerals -- from Box Elder County, throughout Utah, and the world.

Volunteer opportunities at the museum vary based on current needs. Call us 435-723-6769 and we can discuss current possibilities.

Educational Programs

The museum also offers internships to college students or recent graduates with an interest in museum work. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of museum duties and may have the opportunity to focus on a project of particular interest. Areas of potential work include collections (art, history, and natural history), publishing/photography/graphic design, research, oral history, or other aspects of museum operations (including communications, fund-raising, marketing, technology, event planning, etc.).

We are a design and fabrication shop that encourages play in museums, organizations and brands so they may spread the roots of their mission. Play is a powerful tool because it tests assumptions, makes connections and establishes a positive emotional memory to concepts. Incorporating play (interactives) in your project can actually boost diversity, loyalty and engagement which will ultimately strengthen your mission.
