Description

Founded in 1886 in Langenthal, Switzerland, Création Baumann is one of the central hubs of activity in the world of textiles. Through years of growth and change, one thing has always remained: our passion for fabrics.

We develop solutions with a rich set of functions and design for demanding cultural applications—from textiles tested for harmful substances for display cabinets and exhibits, versatile dim-out and glare and heat protection as well as acoustic fabrics with soundproofing characteristics—all the while complying with the highest safety standards. Our specially designed museum fabrics have been tested for suitability using stringent conservational criteria. We are Oddy tested and approved which is the best-known museum procedure to test materials for safety in and around art objects. We work with the best museums in the world providing high quality fabrics in a wide range of colors.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our fabric solutions contribute to improving well-being in public and private spaces. We are the most innovative supplier of interior fabric solutions. Our thoughts and actions are geared towards consumer requirements.

SUSTAINABILITY

Why are we embracing a sustainable strategy? Because long term, we will be able to meet the highest demands of function and visual attraction only if we remain focused on the bigger picture. To us, sustainability means taking responsibility for our use of natural resources and for our fellow human beings. These are the only means for our enterprise to remain self-supporting in an economic sense.
