Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park is a beautiful, three story, 26 room Victorian House Museum that stands as a memorial to John and Annie Bidwell. John Bidwell was known throughout California and across the nation as an important pioneer, farmer, soldier, statesman, politician and philanthropist.

The Chico Creek Nature Center's mission is to enhance the quality of all life by promoting understanding, awareness, appreciation and knowledge of our environment using Bidwell Park as an outdoor classroom.

We are a local preservation association, non-profit, volunteer, rather than a traditional museum. We do have an archive, but it is for our research, and not open to the public w/o special permission and reservation.
