The physical location of the museum is not related to the mailing address. Mapping programs will not display actual location of the museum. The 45th Space Wing Public Affairs Office hosts a free historic bus tour for the general public the second Wednesday of each month.

The BCC Planetarium & Observatory offers several unique ways to explore outer space. Underneath its signature 70-foot dome, the planetarium theater features a first-of-its-kind dual projection system, one of the largest public observatories in the State of Florida, a hands-on demonstration hall and an Iwerks movie theater.

The museums focus is on Brevard County and the East Central Florida Region, by presenting exhibits on Windover Brevard's oldest Archeological Dig site, Taylor collection, Pioneer Women, Florida Cracker's, Canaveral Lighthouse, Reference & Research Library, Citrus Industry, a Butterfly Garden, 22 acre nature reserve with trails and the Children's Imagination Station just to name a few.
