Bound copies of all weekly newspapers that served Longboat Key; 2.Copies of Keynotes, the annual pamphlet giving names and addresses of all residents; 3. Over 1,000 photographs and maps, some going back to the early 1900's; 4. The bronze plaque from the old New Pass Bridge.

The South Florida Museum is the largest natural and cultural history museum on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Under that same roof is also the Parker Manatee Aquarium, home to Snooty, thought to be the oldest living manatee in captivity at age 61. With Snooty, are manatees in rehabilitation for US Fish and Wildlife.
