History

The Heritage Center was originally built in 1935 as the “Community Building”. During WWII an addition was built and this addition now houses the Indian River Citrus Museum. The museum has a small exhibit on the history of the citrus industry in the county and its continuing importance today.

McKee Botanical Garden is known for its horticulture beauty where native plants and exotic botanicals combine with Old Florida charm.
