In Commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of Marinship, the WWII emergency shipyard once located here in Sausalito. Over the years Liberty Ships have become an icon of WWII. We know a lot about the shipyards, the Liberty Ships and the people who built them but there is more to this story that has gotten lost in time. Come and join Ranger Linda to find out some of the lesser known important facts that bring this incredible story alive again. Program will include a tour of the Marinship Exhibit located inside the Bay Model Visitor Center

Sign up for our tour and find out just how much the wonderful building we know as “Banksia” and the Aiken County Historical Museum has changed in its 85 years. The tour is on the 4th Tuesday, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m., and is limited to 15. It is FREE, but you must have a reservation. If you can’t make the tour this month, don’t worry! The tour will be conducted on the 4th Tuesday of every month.
